OCDC Awarded $300,000 Grant to Help Preserve The Iconic Henry Hotel

This Black History Month, we’re not just celebrating history—we’re restoring it! Thanks to a $300K grant from the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, OCDC is helping to preserve the iconic Henry Hotel, a landmark with deep ties to Ocean City’s African American heritage and jazz legends like Duke Ellington. Once restored, the Henry Hotel will become a museum honoring the rich history and resilience of the Black community in OC. Stay tuned as we bring the past to life!
