Facade Improvement Program

The OCDC Façade Improvement Program provides technical and financial assistance to property owners and tenants looking to enhance the exteriors of their buildings. If your property is located south of 17th Street and is at least 25 years old, you may qualify for a grant to help with exterior renovations.
Grants cover one-third of renovation expenses—up to $7,500 in funding—to transform your building’s appearance, attract more visitors, and contribute to downtown Ocean City's revitalization.
Financial Assistance

Receive up to $7,500 in grant funding (must be matched by at least $15,000).

Combine with the Green Building Initiatives Program (total grant cap: $10,000).

Additional grants may be available for other exterior projects (subject to OCDC Board approval).

Town of Ocean City will waive permit fees up to $500 for approved projects.
Eligibility
To qualify, your property must:

Be south of 17th Street (with some exceptions).

Be at least 25 years old.

Decks & Stairs

Handrails
-
Awnings & Canopies

Exterior Lighting
-
Windows & Doors

Other OCDC-approved exterior improvements
